Bettye is a seasoned executive with more than 30 years of experience in the development of leadership at all levels of organizations. She is a highly experienced senior assessor and coach, working at Applied Research on assignments both in the U.S. and Europe.
Prior to joining Applied Research, she was director of development for the Southland Corporation, which consists of 7-Eleven convenience stores and related operations that employ 70,000 employees. There, she managed a staff of 100 and served as an executive coach to the senior officers. She led one-on-one coaching with each executive and their respective boss to develop plans for enhancing strengths, overcoming limitations, and institutionalizing candid constructive feedback. She was also responsible for organizational development, team building and managing several change management initiatives.
Earlier in her career, she taught college courses in statistics and physics, and worked as a chemist for Mobil Oil.
She earned her bachelor's degree at the University of Mississippi and her master's and Ph.D. at the University of Houston. She is a licensed psychologist and a member of the American Psychological Association. |
